General ForemanResidential Construction

We are looking for a General Foreman to run our new-home build sites. This is a whole-house role. You will have a hand in every stage of the build — foundation and panel set through rough-in, finish, and final walk — and you will lead the crew that does it.

This is field work. You are outdoors, at the homesite, leading a crew. If you have spent years doing the work right and are tired of being the only one who does, read on.

Most builders frame every house from scratch, in the weather, and hope the subs show up. We do not. HOWMZ builds homes as engineered products. Panels, bathroom pods, and mechanical pods are fabricated to repeatable tolerances in our Heber City factory, then delivered to the site and assembled.

• The pieces fit. You are setting engineered components built to spec, not chasing a quarter inch of accumulated error across a whole house.
• The work is repeatable. You build to a documented standard, so the second house goes up faster and cleaner than the first.
• Quality is the job. We catch problems where they happen, not six weeks later at a punch walk.
• Your schedule is real. Regular weekly hours you can plan a life around.
• You are connected to the factory. When a detail does not work in the field, you tell the people who build the panels and it gets fixed upstream.

The build

• Foundation prep, layout, and panel set coordination.
• Framing corrections, blocking, and structural touch points.
• Window and door installation, waterproofing, flashing, and exterior weather-tight detailing.
• Exterior cladding, trim, and terminations — held to tolerance and to the drawing.
• MEP rough-in coordination with our crews and subcontractors.
• Interior finish, trim, and the details that decide whether a house feels built or assembled.
• Final punch and turnover.

Running the site

• Direct a multi-trade crew and hold the daily schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections so nothing sits waiting.
• Train technicians up. A large part of this job is making other people better.
• Run a safe site — PPE, fall protection, safe material handling, and safe equipment operation, without exception.
• Inspect work before it gets covered, reject what is not right, and get the root cause back to the factory so the same defect does not come back.

Required

• 5+ years in residential or light commercial construction with real hands-on depth across multiple trades.
• Broad multi-trade competence — you can work and judge quality across framing, windows, waterproofing, exterior cladding, MEP rough-in, and finish.
• 2+ years leading a crew as a foreman, lead, or working superintendent.
• Ability to read and build from construction drawings and assembly documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to homesites.
• Able to work outdoors year-round in Utah weather.
• Reliable, drug-free, and able to pass a background check.

Nice to have

• Metal or sheet metal siding, trim, and flashing experience — cutting, bending, forming, and fitting to a finished standard.
• Experience with modular, panelized, or other off-site construction systems.
• Utah General Contractor license.
• OSHA 10 or 30.
• Experience writing or refining work instructions and quality checklists.
• Spanish/English bilingual.

$38–45 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: Full-time, on-site at active builds in the Heber City area.
